Thank you so much, Liz! I'm so glad you think so. Sometimes when I write these prompt stories, I'm not sure where I'm going to wind up. It's exciting, but sometimes I worry that the story is going to suffer a bit for it. I'm happy you like how it turned out. The problems at court are pretty important to the plot later, so I wanted to try playing around with the ways they developed.
